Certified Halal Meat
All chicken, goat and lamb in our kitchen is certified halal. It is the only meat we buy, so there is nothing to ask for and nothing to check.
Vegetarian and Vegan Dishes
Half of the menu is vegetarian, and much of it is vegan as cooked - dal, chole, sabzi, rice and roti. Dishes finished with butter or cream are marked, and we will leave them out when you ask.
From the Kitchen
Punjabi cooking, made the way it is made at home: spices layered by hand, dal held on the flame overnight, bread from a live tandoor. Tell us about an allergy when you order and the kitchen cooks around it.

We are open Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM. We are closed on Tuesday.

We serve Lincoln Park, Lake View, North Center, Uptown, Near North Side, Cicero, Lincolnwood, Avondale, Evanston, Oak Park, Logan Square, West Town, the Loop, Skokie, Edgewater, Lincoln Square, Hermosa, Elmwood Park and Albany Park.
Pickup and dine-in orders are placed directly with us at tryurbanturban.com, with no app fees. Delivery is available through Uber Eats, DoorDash and Grubhub.
Our most-ordered dishes are Chole Bhature and Butter Chicken (Murgh Makhani).
Breads start at $3.49, starters at $7.99, most curries and mains are $14.99 to $24.99, and a full thali is $18.99 to $28.99.
Parking is paid street parking on and around Halsted. We keep a portable ramp at the restaurant - let us know you are coming, or ask at the door, and our staff will set it up. Table requests can be made at tryurbanturban.com/reservations.
