In October 2026 the Northwest Suburbs get a halwai that makes sweets the slow way. At 1065 W. Golf Rd., Urban Halwai will turn out motichoor laddoo with proper tiny boondi, milk cake caramelised to the edge, barfi in six variations, and hot jalebi that shatters. Everything is made in our own kitchen — the same roof as Urban Turban — not shipped in.
Being on Golf Road makes us the natural mithai stop for Hoffman Estates, Schaumburg, Palatine and Streamwood — ten to fifteen minutes from almost anywhere in the corridor. Until Golf Road opens in October 2026, order mithai and festival boxes (Diwali, Karva Chauth, Eid) from our Chicago counter at 2660 N. Halsted St.
On Golf Rd. (Route 58) — 10 minutes from Schaumburg, 12 from Palatine and Streamwood.
